Welcome FAQs
What happens after I enroll?
Once you select a plan, our enrollment specialists will communicate directly with the carrier to submit your enrollment, which usually includes the initial premium payment. We will contact you if we need additional information to complete this payment. The carrier may require extra processing time to process the enrollment fully. After we submit your enrollment, we will send you a confirmation email. You will then receive welcome materials directly from the carrier, including your member ID. Processing times vary by carrier.

What if I have other health insurance coverage?
Health insurance can be confusing, especially if you have multiple options or coverages. We would like to know if you have other coverage so we can provide you with all the necessary information. Other sources of major medical insurance coverage are significant for individual insurance. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have questions.
How do I know if my doctors are in-network?
One of the challenges of any medical insurance plan is ensuring your providers are in-network. Individual insurance typically offers many options to optimize your in-network coverage. We recommend calling your provider to confirm they are in-network with your chosen insurance plan. You can also use the “Find my Doctor” tool on any carrier's website to search for your provider. Network changes can occur anytime, so the best way to confirm real-time network status is to call your provider's office directly. Our benefits advisors are also available to assist.
How do I get my insurance ID cards?
After Remodel Health submits your enrollment, the carrier will process it. Physical ID cards may take additional time to arrive, but we can often access your virtual cards more quickly. If you need your carrier Member ID, please contact us at [email protected].
Who makes my monthly premium payments?
As part of our services, Remodel Health typically pays premiums on your behalf to the insurance carrier. We then work with your organization to deduct these premiums from your paycheck. You may still receive monthly premium statements from the carrier, which we encourage you to keep for your records.
What should I do with insurance premium statements?
If we make premium payments on your behalf, you may still receive monthly premium statements from the carrier. This is normal, and we encourage you to keep these statements for your records.
Can I change my plan once I am enrolled?
It depends on your circumstances. We will happily assess your situation and help you make the best decision. You can reach us at [email protected].
How will I get reimbursed for my monthly premiums?
If you are receiving an ICHRA, the reimbursement amount from your employer is usually subtracted from your monthly premium.
What if my premium exceeds my reimbursement?
If your monthly premium exceeds the amount you receive from your employer, the remaining amount will be deducted from your paycheck like a traditional health insurance plan.
